DIARY OF AN ADVENTURE TRUCK
The summer of 2019, I met my husband. Shortly after our first date, I embarked on my 3rd solo road trip full of hikes, camping, and desert adventure. A few weeks later, he attended Burning Man and had his own magical desert times. Upon his return, he scoured the internet for “adventure trucks” and found our rig. OFFGR1D is a converted military vehicle that was sold to him by a nuclear engineer in North Carolina, originally riding as BRAVO1. After many many many delays due to COVID, the intricacies of adding a battery banks and a second alternator, south Florida rain, and more, we finally took off on August 8, 2021. This is a brief glimpse into the saga so far.
